every artist I admired I would emulate in order to teach myself the fundamentals.
I painted every style from cubist to minimalism to cartoons to reproductions of old masters.
Taking two steps forward one step back I slowly found my confidence in technique, letting the artist within run free with the confidence That I could express my vision through the medium of paint.
Eventually a style emerged all by itself that came from within me as an artist completely self absorbed in my own little world.
Now Im seeing the same thing happen with my photography as im in the very early stages of development that I recognise as an artist.
I mean as a photographer I wonder what is my goal?
What is my purpose?
I mean do I want to capture a feeling? Or maybe highlight something to change peoples perception? Or do I as an artist want to create? Or document?
These are all things I went through with my early stages in drawing before painting so I guess I walk before I leap and ride it along as I know my artistic voice will eventually break though and adopt photography as another medium in which to express.
Do I create art with my camera?
Am I an artist using my photography to express a concept, as I do in my paintings?
Or do I want to capture a rawness to highlight whether it be the mundane, maybe a feeling or emotion?
Only Time will tell,

Forever, and ever
Know how much I want to show you you're the only one
Like a bed of roses there's a dozen reasons in this gun..."

The world is so random that anything can happen at any time. Isn't that inspiring?

If you're photographing in color you show the color of their clothes - if you use black and white, you will show the color of their soul.
